For many of us, this is a season marked by frantic shopping, crowded streets, traveling, deadlines at work, and the joys (sometimes, haha..) of reconnecting with friends and family.
This can also be a stressful time of year for any number of reasons. If you find yourself getting caught up in the chaos, just remember to take a moment to appreciate some of the things we can be thankful for. Whether it’s family, health, financial well-being, or something as simple as waking up to a pleasant morning on a new day; we can all find something to celebrate.
If you know someone who will be alone for the Holidays, extend a gesture of kindness, drop a note, or stop by for a visit. Brightening another’s spirits has a tendency of brightening our own. If you’re the one spending the holiday alone, I would encourage you to reach out to that relative you haven’t spoken to in years, to spark up a chat with a new friend, or to get involved with an organization in your community. You’ll probably find out that you’re not as alone as you think. None of us are really alone in this world after all. And of course, you can always contact me. I’ll be happy to chat, no matter what’s on your mind.
Warmest wishes to all of you and to the ones you love. This year and the next, Happy Holidays!
