Website Updates: Commenting and Registrations

Written by  on April 4, 2016

Our previously-mentioned DNS issues seem to be resolved now.

In the never-ending quest for improved security and performance, commenting and trackbacks/pingbacks have been disabled throughout most of the site. (The strategy guide page is one notable exception.) This has the added benefit of making the site more inviting for newcomers, who might be put off by some of the many heated debates that have taken place in the comments-sections from time to time.

Users are now required to register and log in before posting in our community forums, which will continue to be the focal point for all MTrek/JTrek-related discussion. Of course, you are also welcome to email with any feedback, questions, or bug reports.

In the coming weeks, I’ll be combing through the website to remove/archive much of the unused content, “orphaned” pages, and broken links. Please let me know if you encounter any issues.

And finally, look forward to some guide and map updates as they’re brought in line with MTrek Version 6.
