I recently found out there’s another server running:
telnet trek.sunspothq.dyndns.org 1701
I checked it out. It appears to be a stock JavaTrek engine circa 2007 with about 30 bots. Apparently it was launched for the folks in this FB group:

For those looking for a more “stock” version of the game, it is definitely worth checking out!
