MTrek in Repose
mtrek.com update 22 Jul 2014
[edit Nov 2022: Some information on this page may be out of date.]
It has been 10 months since I’ve posted a news update to the main page, and I figure it is time for one.
Quite a bit has happened around here…
A strategy guide has materialized. (Thanks especially to “mike aka zip” for several contributions)
The [link removed] economy has been reworked with various gold-earning/dropping tweaks.
An entirely [link removed] new server has been launched– one with classic style play, no bots, and about a 95% “correct” semblance to mtrek, as it was between 1996 and 2000.
A [link removed] tournament has been launched. (We’ll see how it goes…)
And a former THX coder from UCSC has shared a very nice blog post with the world, attracting newbies for us to shoot at- er I mean teach how to “mtrek”. And for those tweeters out there:

Stay tuned. There is more to come.
Thanks!

New Facebook Page
As part of the new advertising campaign, I have just created mtrek’s official facebook page.
Also, I started a request to have a multi-trek wikipedia article created. However, there is a backlog of requests for game articles to be created by regular wikipedia editors. So if anyone has wikipedia editing experience, your contributions would be highly appreciated by all.
thanks

Also included, are the classes from the pre-1995 original Mtrek:
D-10, D-11, FERENGI, GALAXY, and RWAR
Enjoy, and feel free to comment!
